The journey

Some journeys take you places, some journeys bring you back to yourself.

From the familiar roads of Nashik to the unknown trails beyond, I’m on a journey to get lost—and find something new along the way.
Hi, I’m Nikhil—a backpacker, storyteller, photographer, and a little bit of a wanderer at heart. For the longest time, I lived the usual 9-to-5 life. The routine was comfortable, but somewhere between deadlines and everyday chaos, I felt a growing need to step away and explore. I wanted to see what existed beyond the familiar—to take the roads I had never taken, meet people I had never known, and collect stories instead of things.
Lostboy Journey

So, I decided to take the leap.

I packed my bags, picked up my camera, and started exploring. What began with discovering the hidden corners of Nashik, my hometown, slowly turned into a much bigger journey. From winding mountain roads and quiet forests to beaches, rivers, cities, villages, and everything in between—I found myself constantly drawn towards the unknown.

That's where LostBoyJourney started.

What started as a way of documenting my hometown, Nashik, slowly grew into something much bigger. Today, LostBoyJourney is not just about Nashik—it’s about exploring the Sahyadris, discovering the many sides of India, and sharing stories from every place my journey takes me. From winding roads through the Sahyadris and hidden trails to quiet beaches, bustling cities, remote villages, and everything in between, I want to explore it all. Every destination has its own character, every road has a story, and every journey leaves something behind. For me, being lost isn't about not knowing where you're going. It's about being open to where the journey might take you. It's about taking the longer road, missing a turn, finding an unexpected place, and coming back with a story you never planned to write. Through LostBoyJourney, I share travel stories, backpacking experiences, offbeat places, local food, practical travel guides, and the little moments that make a journey memorable. I travel to experience a place, not just check it off a list. I photograph moments so I can remember them, write stories so I can relive them, and share them hoping they inspire someone else to take that first step. This is more than a travel blog. It's a collection of places I've been, stories I've lived, and moments I've found along the way. And honestly, I'm still figuring out where the road leads. Maybe that's the best part of the journey.
